BMW’s answer to the Audi A7 and Mercedes CLS. the 6 Series Gran Coupe was the flagship of the Bavarian brands range, a large four door coupe dripping with style and a touch of glamour.
The Gran Coupe is ultra luxurious inside with leather covering most surfaces and huge equipment levels, and being based on the 5 Series platform is an engaging and rewarding drive.
The 640D is considered by many to be the pick of the engines, offering the same performance as the petrol 640i but far better mpg.

Finished in BMW Individual colour Tanzanite Blue, a deep metallic which looks stunning on the Gran Coupe shape and glitters as the light catches it. It is in excellent condition with almost no stone chips or marks around the car, and there are no dings that we noticed in the panels.
It is fitted with 20” alloys, in lovely shape with no curb marks, apart from one which will be repaired before sale. All are fitted with premium, brand tyres with good tread.
The glass and lamps are all bright and clear with no chips and the badges all crisp and bright.
Fitted with the M Sport package, it has the M Style aerodynamic body kit, and also has the optional LED foglight.

This 640 has only had sparing use as a second car so has only clocked up 20,000 miles with its original owner.
The motor fires up instantly and idles remarkably smoothly, and on the road pulls incredibly strongly, especially in Sport mode, while the automatic gearbox shifts as smoothly as you would expect.
It has a full main dealer service history, although this is now stored by BMW themselves, and in 2022 it went in for a recall to have the EGR cooler replaced.

This is a strictly four seater cabin – travelling first class in large and comfortable Ivory White Dakota leather bucket seats, all in excellent condition with virtually no wear, and it is trimmed in leather over as many surfaces as possible with leather dash, door cards and centre console, and on the M steering wheel.
There is a very high level of kit in the car, with the large wide screen iDrive and digital dashboard screen. It has the Harmonn Kardon surround speakers, reversing camera and head up display fitted.
